Supporting Matron in leading and managing Burnham Lodge is our Deputy Matron, Mrs Val Imrie, a highly qualified and experienced nurse who joined Burnham Lodge in 2008. Mrs Imrie is also a qualified RGN, ENB 998 with ENB enhancement of nursing practice, who qualified in 1980. Mrs Imrie joins us from the Paragon Suite at Wexham Park Hospital where she was Matron and Ward Manager for six years. Mrs Imrie enjoys her role of Deputy Matron as she is able to continue in a management role whilst being able to carry out hands-on nursing care and working alongside the carers, continually monitoring and improving standards. A key part of her role is constant assessment, planning and implementing residents care plans and maintaining high standards for all our residents during their stay at Burnham Lodge.

Matron is qualified to the NVQ level 4 standard having been awarded the registered managers award in order to become an NVQ assessor thereby allowing Burnham Lodge to offer all staff the opportunity to improve their qualifications should they wish to do so.

The nursing team are very ably supported by our administration manager, our financial manager and two working directors.

The nursing team at Burnham Lodge is made up of:

Matron - RGN
Deputy Matron - RGN
10 other RGNs
3 Enrolled nurses
6 Senior Carers
9 Care Assistants
Various bank care staff.

They are supported by a full domestic team headed by our housekeeper, the kitchen team headed by our Chef, and our maintenance team. Our Administrator would generally be the first point of contact for any enquiries.
