Burnham Lodge Care Home is housed in a magnificent building dating from about 1900, nestled in the countryside on the Buckinghamshire and Berkshire borders. Located between Burnham, Maidenhead and Beaconsfield, it has been carefully and sympathetically restored to recreate a country house atmosphere, while providing a comfortable environment where it is easy for residents to continue to enjoy their individual way of life throughout their retirement.

We have recently installed a state of the art kitchen, and the delicious meals produced there are served in our elegant dining room, though our Servery staff is happy to provide in-room dining if preferred.

A brand new central heating system was fitted in 2009 – new technology allows us even greater control over the climate in each part of the building ensuring we can always offer a warm welcome in winter and a cool, shady spot to relax in the height of summer.

There are three large lounges, all looking out on the landscaped grounds. Activities take place daily in one of these, there is a television and entertainment system in another providing an excellent place to socialize and the third provides a quiet spot to retire to browse the library, to sew or knit or do a jigsaw puzzle, perhaps admire the views from the window or to relax by the aquarium.

Each room is individually and beautifully decorated; all have telephone points, TVs and nurse call systems. Most are en-suite, and some are equipped with walk-in shower facilities.

We encourage residents to make their room their own, perhaps by bringing much loved items of furniture, pictures or ornaments to add a personal touch.
