Burnham Lodge Care Home provides a safe, caring and comfortable environment, recognising that our residents are individuals and this is their home. We are sensitive to our residents' requirement for privacy within the community setting, and also of the need for companionship and support.

We remember that everyone is different and that we all have a story to tell. We respect our residents and treat each one as a special and valued individual. We are alert to tackling any possible stigma which our residents may suffer through age, disability or status.

We encourage personal independence where possible and ensure that high standards of care tailored for each person are carried out in a discreet and professional manner.

We know that Burnham Lodge is not just a home, it is our residents’ home with the consequent right of choice. We try to ensure that our community is as free from constraint as possible by providing as wide a range of choice as we can in all areas of life.

We welcome and value input from residents’ relatives and friends and their involvement in our day to day life. We wish to provide a warm and courteous welcome to all those who visit us.

We realise that meal times are an important part of any daily routine, and we do our best to serve interesting, tasty and nutritious meals at all times. We aim to provide a wide choice of meals, taking into account specific diets and individual likes and dislikes. We are always happy to provide meals on request for our residents’ visitors.
