Burnham Lodge will provide a safe, homely and caring environment while striving to give our residents as much privacy as possible within the communal setting. We will try to preserve respect for our resident’s intrinsic value by treating each resident as a special and valued individual and tackling the stigma from which our residents may suffer through age, disability or status.

Personal independence will be encouraged along with high standards of individual care carried out in a discreet and professional manner.

It is recognised that this nursing home is the resident’s home with the consequent right of choice. Burnham Lodge will try to ensure that the constraint of living communally is not increased by providing as wide a range of choice as possible in all areas of life.

The contribution made by the resident’s relatives and friends will be encouraged, and staff will always be courteous and welcoming to residents and visitors.

Burnham Lodge recognises that meal times are an important part of our resident’s daily life, we will endeavour to serve interesting and nutritious meals at all times and provide a wide choice of meals, taking into consideration specific diets and individual likes and dislikes. We are also happy to provide meals upon request for resident’s relatives and visitors.
