Special emphasis is placed on providing recreational activities and residents are encouraged to pursue their own hobbies and interests. Every assistance is given by the staff to help residents to be as active as their condition permits. The gardens of Burnham Lodge are most attractive; keen gardeners are encouraged to pursue their interest with specially raised beds to allow gardening access even for those in wheelchairs.

Our dedicated activities organiser arranges a daily selection of activities ranging from bingo to dominoes to music with movement to group discussions on current affairs. Professional entertainers visit the home regularly to entertain both residents and the staff alike. Theme-days are also organised regularly in conjunction with Chef to provide the chance to explore different cultures and try different cuisines.
